Not having the education to rise him over the crowd, Sheldon had to obtain a job of their own and worked as a visiting professor at Heidelberg Institute in Germany at fifteen.
The character of Sheldon Cooper is played by Jim Parsons, who has won several awards for his portrayal from the character. Sheldon is one of the main guys within the show, who live across the hallway from Penny, one of their closest girl friends.
Sheldon Cooper's character was actually inspired by a computer programmer that was a co-creator on the series. The name of the character comes from Sheldon Leonard and Nobel Prize Laureate Leon Cooper. Together, what they are called have created one of the most well-known characters on the TV today.
